Quavo and Offset reunite on stage for the first time at the 2023 BET Awards.
The Migos rappers performed a surprise tribute to late member Takeoff as well some of their hits. When the show returned from a commercial break, a curtain raised on a darkened stage with two shadowed figures emerging — who turned out to be Quavo and Offset — standing before an image of a Space Shuttle.
As a recording of Takeoff’s verse on the song “Hotel Lobby” began (as recorded by his duo with Quavo, Unc & Phew), it became clear who they were and the crowd erupted. “BET!” the announcer shouted. “Doin’ this for Take!”
The image of the Space Shuttle took off and was replaced by an image of Takeoff with his hand reaching skyward, and the pair launched into the group’s biggest hit, “Bad & Boujee.”
The pair did not address the crowd, except to shout “Take!”

The onstage reunion comes after the pair allegedly got into a physical altercation backstage at the Grammy Awards in February. That same month, Quavo (who was Takeoff’s uncle, although he was just three years older) seemed to close the door on Migos for good in his Takeoff tribute song “Greatness”: “Don’t ask about the group / He gone, we gone / It can’t come back.”
That sentiment seems to have changed in recent weeks. The duo were pictured together for the first time in months at a gathering for Takeoff on Fathers Day (June 18) as they honored the rapper on what would have been his 29th birthday.
Quavo, 32, posted photos from the emotional day on Instagram, with one image showing him chatting with Offset, 31, as they wore matching white T-shirts with Takeoff’s face printed on them, a stack of chains, and sunglasses.
As previously reported, Takeoff was shot in Houston in a shooting outside a bowling alley last November.
